You
have probably asked yourself, why are these people talking
to me on-line? I should therefore present myself. I am Enrico Dian president of the Diansub company, specialised in producing taylor made diving
equipment. I have personally practised this activity since
1970.
Right from my first days and then on becoming an instructor,
I realised how the materials I used could be optimised. This
is why I personally undertook the commitment to design and
create equipment. My great passion for scuba diving brought
me to confront diving problems as authentic professional challenges
which became even more heartfelt and pressing when I was directly
involved in severe situations and conditions where it was
possible to subject my wet suits to extreme tests.
Among my personal exploits and together with a group of friends
our crossing and return of the Scottish lake of LOCHNESS, stands out. This took place in 1989 and was entirely under water and under the eyes of
the television cameras of half the world.
In 1990 I was contacted by medical-scientific authorities
who knew of my materials and appreciated their characteristics.
Sometimes these were individual doctors, physiotherapists
and rehabilitation personnel passionate scuba divers who
came to check what advantages made-to-measure equipment could
have. Their request was simple: to be able to make these advantages
available, also to disabled scuba divers. The logical and
almost spontaneous step was that of deepening my knowledge
on the matter by becoming an ISTRUCTOR also of disabled scuba divers. Consider scuba diving
as a new therapy to obtain a substantial improvement in the
psychological picture and in sporting relations for sportsmen
with physical disabilities. This was a new and interesting
challenge: perfecting special equipment dedicated to extremely
personalised safety and functionality requirements.
During the 4000 MISSIONI EXECUTED by myself and my staff from the Red Sea to the North Atlantic, I have never stopped researching, developing
and testing new materials and leading edge technologies to
permit scuba divers, or future ones, from avoiding certain
problems and to obtain greater satisfaction in all diving
conditions.
In 1970, I was eleven years old. With paper and coloured crayons
I designed a scuba diving equipment catalogue with names and
technical characteristics and the trade name that today is
recognised as synonymous of taylor made, in many countries
in the world. My precise intention then was to make my dream
come true one day by becoming a PROFESSIONAL THROUGH PASSION.
